Overscan Settings Trouble

Post by PF21 » Sat Feb 17, 2018 3:25 pm

I'm trying to adjust the display position and border sizes for a Kedei HDMI screen. When I adjust the config.txt overscan settings, it adjusts the console but not the theme menus. Is that adjusted elsewhere?

Finally got it. It was the overscan_scale=1 setting. Looking good now.

On a side note, those samsung laptop speakers sound great and are really loud. They have some static for the first 30 seconds or so after boot, then it goes away on its own. I'll be troubleshootting that next. I'll first lower the system volume, cause it is way to loud atm, but i'm not sure where to look after that. Seems like it may be the amplifier and not signal interference.

check the headphone socket.....

i had a similar issue, i ended up replacing the headphone socket (it went away)
put headphones in & out while the static is present....

also one thing to note.... your wiring is slightly different to mine....
i have a ground wire twisted around the Left & Right all the way through the setup (from the USB sound card all the way to the Amp)
