Tinkerboy V3 first build

Post by PetarHolland » Thu Feb 28, 2019 4:02 am

Good morning guys, i finally wrapped all the components to make my first GB0.... I was planning to solder and put all the stuff together on this weekend.

Tinkerboy V3 Board
GearBest Screen 3.5″ LCD TFT RGB (with 5v mod)
Camble safe shutdown powerboost edition
Adafruit powerboost 1000
Raspberry pi0 w
3Pin Volume Wheel 10K Ohm
4ohm 3w 28mm Speaker
Micro USB micro-B Breakout Board
Female usb port
Helder 4500Mah Gameboy Zero Megabat Battery

As i mentioned, it's my first game boy build, so i'm trying to search and gather all the info before starting to solder. I tried to put up a wiring diagram (i'm worried about the powerboost connection and wiring mostly..)
Anyone know if i have to remap some pin for the raspberry pie to use the safe shutdown script?

Can someone help me and look if its correct?

That looks correct to me, for power. There shouldn’t be any need to remap anything, especially sine that board uses usb not GPIO for its input.

You’ll need the video also, from screen to pi, and usb d+/- from the pi to the control board. Then, the speaker and usb breakout from the board’s connections. Then that should be it.

I think you can run a wire from the battery positive to the “battery” on the newer tinkerboy boards, to use its microcontroller for a battery monitor like the minty ones, if you wanted that as well.

Thank you very much.. ^^ The diagram was only for the "headache" part of the wiring. I'm ok with the other parts of the diagram.. I was just confused about the adafruit pinout / GPIO of the raspberry.

Looks good to me, and I assume you know to also wire the pi's data pins to the AIO as well. PB wiring looks good, and just install cambles script, no need to remap GPIO's.

Hi Petar, did you succeed with your wiring scheme?
