TinkerBoy Game Boy Controller v2.1.01 Problem?
TinkerBoy Game Boy Controller v2.1.01 Problem?
After i can't find any solution i decided to ask ...
I am trying to build my first GBZ with the tinkerboy Controller v2.1.01 i use the guide from Tinkerboy page that was pretty straight forward but the buttons didn't work ... The pro micro board seems that didn't properly work.
I have try to reprogram using the Tinkerboy guide but also using the Sudomod guide from @sotasystems i can properly load the scripts and communicate with the Arduino software but when i connect the power in to Tinkerboy Controller all leds stay on and the pro micro board don't work .... and also i don't have sound ... but i don't know if this is relevant.
Any thoughts?
TIA

Well in your pics the pro micro is not connected to the pi at all. You need it connected to the pi's usb pads (pp22 and pp23)
As for audio, did you add the proper line to the config.txt? (See below for what you need to add to the bottom of the config.txt) Also double check your soldering too. And make sure you have the audio soldered to the correct GPIO pins. Hard to see in your pics where they are soldered to.

Re: TinkerBoy Game Boy Controller v2.1.01 Problem?
I've never used a tinkerboy board with the promicro like that. But you're certain those two wires running to pp22 and pp23 on the pi are D+ and D-? When looking at pro micro diagrams it doesn't list them as data pins. Shows them as RX and GND.
I would confirm that, and try the method mentioned by tinkerboy, if you have an old micro usb cable around it would be easy to test.

Re: TinkerBoy Game Boy Controller v2.1.01 Problem?
You were right .. I was traced the lines with multimeter and i was thinking that i was right with the cables .. But i use a fixed micro usb cable and the pro micro worked..
Thanks a lot for the guiding @rodocop!!!

Glad you got it going. Did you ever get the audio going by adding the line I mentioned to the config.txt?
