one more thing... if this doesn't fix your problem, it could also be a weak composite signal from the pi. that's one of the more frustrating aspects of these screens - many things could cause the screen to just not turn on. if it's the video, i've heard that running another ground to the ground next to the composite in helps, and twisting that with the video might too.

i'd bet on the 5v mod for what you've described though - turning on briefly then shutting down. either that or an underpowered psu perhaps.

According to the RZC2013S datasheet, the output is PIN #3. It's commonly called the switch output.

That is where you should directly wire the 5V to.

I was able to hook it up. It works fine now. No flicker and no interruptions. Thanks for the help.
