No video from Raspberry Pi Zero W

Post by xSP » Wed Aug 02, 2017 4:14 pm

So I have now confirmed that both the Raspberry Pi Zero W and screen are both working, I just can't get it to display anything. Here is my wiring-http://imgur.com/a/nbrc6
Im running the Raspberry Pi off of a 5v 550mA microusb charger and the screen off of a 12v 1.0A power supply. Is there anything I have to do with the software before it recognizes composite video?

When i got my composite screen, it works without having to configure anything.

Your 2nd picture's a bit blurry it's hard to see. Can you get a clearer picture?

I have this same issue (it's a BW screen right?).

My question is, do you have to hook up the ground wire like you have or is that only if you are hooking up power from the pi? Right now i assume you can get away with only one wire, yellow to the tv pad on the pi. Correct?

I have a screen that does not work when it has a ground connected. Its the weirdest thing. But when I take off the ground connection it works fine.
