Multiplayer

It seems netplay isn't very simple to set up on the GBZ for someone less techy (my sister wouldn't be able to ssh in to act as a keyboard, plus the retroarch menus can be a little convoluted). Also, some systems don't have full multiplayer support or are glitchy (GBA). Are there simpler alternatives to netplay that can make several Pi's in the same room find each other? Would I be able to make a sort of link cable out of a male/male USB? I gotta be able to finally play some 4-player Amazing Mirror.

Interesting Topic. Multiplayer with a mobile handheld device is tricky. Sitting with friends in the train, there is crappy wifi network etc. Cables are to short or over other seats. One person has no cable... Maybe with Bluetooth (zero w / Pi3) from GB to GB, or an extra cheap device like esp32 works as a multiplayer access point.

I thought about Bluetooth, but Netplay doesn't support that. Whatever is created will require some additional code.

I'm not sure bluetooth supports the bandwidth needed for that kind of thing.
