Finished wiring. Screen doesn't work :-(

Hello All
Finished wiring :-) But unfortunately the screen doesn't work :-(

The screen doesn't light up or change in any way
I used the yellow wire from the screen should I used the white one instead?

Also I can't connect a usb keyboard to it anymore?
I tried on the inside with both of the micro usb ports and I tried with the external usb I have set up to and no response.

I managed to boot with the micro HDMI to retro pi and from what I can see the buttons seem to work but I can't configure the controller without a keyboard and sadly my A button doesn't seem to be responding. I can't configure input from the buttons or the keyboard...

For my screen it is the one recommended off of the Game Boy Zero Custom Parts Guide Part 1 tutorials. The BW backup camera screen found here https://www.amazon.com/BW-3-5-Inch-Moni ... B0045IIZKU

Does anyone have any clues for me?

Here is my wiring diagram

Did you test the screen first before modding?

LCD board
First, remove the red jumper wire. Then desolder the original red wire and just solder it directly to where you soldered the jumper wire.

Hi zeroboy
Tried removing the red wire that was bridging the connection and also tried switching the yellow wire with the white?

Other issue I have is the A button. I tried wiring the it back on to see if there is an issue with the connection however it does this thing where it will hit A "by its self" but wont really when I press it.

My usb keyboard no longer connects and I tried cutting the green and white usb wires but that didnt solve anything either.

Do you know what the 3 buttons do that came with the screen? They are plugged in too

Thanks

The three buttons are probably for brightness and other settings. Just unplug it for now while you troubleshoot the screen.

When you removed the bridge connection, did solder the red wire directly to that ic? So what happen when ypu turn it on this time?

I removed the bridge of the red wire but not the IC and left the red wire intact.
I havent seen any changes with the screen
Should I wire the ground and the red wire directly to the power or leave it in the raspberry pi?

The back of the pi where the black and yellow(or white) Wire goes
Tried either the white or the yellow without luck
