PS4 pad battery for GBZ

I've wired up all the internals of my GBZ and settled on a 2000mah (allegedly) ps4 pad battery. The thing is i seem to be only getting about 10 minutes before the low light comes on on the powerboost and shortly after the screen starts reseting.

I've used my multimeter on my powerstrip and the system seems to be drawing 0.8 amps, is that normal?

Is the battery likely bad or are these batteries simply not suitable for GBZ?

Thanks all.

Is it an old used battery ?

It may be damaged if yes and not holding the charge so you get no power in it or your charger is not delivering enough power or incorretc voltage to charge it.

Is it a new battery ?
Which current do you send to it to charge it ?
What type of battery is it ? (LiFe, LiPo, LiOn ?...)
Which circuitry do you use to charge it ?

It's a new LiPo PS4 pad battery being charged off of a power boost 1000 at 5v.

The light on the power boost indicates fully charged but when I disconnect the mains power, the red low battery light comes on within 3 minutes. I have left it charging for a couple of hours today.

Do you have an intelligent charger like those used in RC ?
Was the cell newly bought or salvaged from another device ?
Is it the Powerboost 1000C that we are talking about ?

Yes it's all new and I believe the powerboost 1000c is suitable for charging it.

The specs of 1000C are good for LiPo.
You didn't told me the max Amper that can provide your POwer Supply...

1500ma is the powersupply output

1500mA is really short for both powering and charging battery.
It is recommended to use a 2,5A power supply.
Anyway, without playing the battery must get charged so either you have a damaged 1000C or a bad battery

Do you have another battery to test if it's not the board that is broken ?
