Hi All,
I bought one of the AIO boards (V2.0) from retrogamingnow. I hooked it up by soldering 5V and Ground to the input pads and then the twisted green and white data wires from AIO to Pi Zero but all i got was not gamepads detected. To simplify the problem i chopped up a micro usb cable and soldered the data wires to the AIO then plugged in the other end to the PI, same result - no gamepads detected.
I have used my multimeter on the AIO powerstrip and i get 5V so i think that's hooked up right.
Retrogamingnow did say that they had to resolder some chips on these boards so i'm worried about that.
I have one of the old boards which is connected to a teensy then to the pi via a usb cable and that IS detected. However i haven't attempted to solder the teensy usb connection yet.
Any help would be really, really appreciated.

It's hugely frustrating. Is there anyway to tell if the AIO board is even powered up and doing anything?
Re: AIO No Gamepad detected
I currently have 4 wires hooked up to the AIO. 5V, GND, D+ & D-. That should be enough to get it to detect as a pad/keyboard right?

Have you inserted the usb into the right port? you have to put it in the microusb port '' the one in the middle'' closest to the hdmi port.
Try that and report here if it worked.
Usually you need to solder it below that port on the two golden pads below the usb port (as seen in the instructions)
But first, if you did use the lowest usb port, put it in the other.
Also, if you solder your wires, try to snip them off shorter, you have too much bare metal, snip them off so that it is like 2millimeters or so, and best stick it in the holes and not right ontop.

Re: AIO No Gamepad detected
The AIO is powered from the power boost.
I will trim the wires and resolder, give it another go. I left the other end of the cable as a standard micro usb cable so it should be fine going into the pi zero.
