Tiny USB Hub for GBZ

Hi Guys,
So I'm taking a slightly different route to other guides I have seen thus far on building a GBZ and I'm trying to use a USB sound card along with having an external USB port for my GBZ.
Now obviously the Raspberry PI Zero W itself only has 1 usb connection on it, so I need a hub of some description to have a least two usb devices attached. I don't have an AIO board and instead have just a button PCB so I can't go that route for a USB hub. So what I'm thinking of doing is using something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1 and hoping I can get the innards (hopefully a PCB) of that and fit it inside the GBZ. I'm hoping I can desolder the usb ports and remove the cord, so I'm just left with a small PCB to fit inside the GBZ.
What do people think, is this likely to work?
Or do people have other alternatives for a usb hub to fit inside the GBZ? Maybe a PCB that already exists somewhere or some kind of wiring guide for building my own?
Cheers
