New Build Questions
Hi! I have some hardware questions.
I've never attempted anything like this before, so I'm going in pretty blind and was planning on following a combination of Wermy's guide and Kite's guide for use with Kite's SAIO. I was wondering about batteries.

Would this battery work with the dimensions? I read somewhere on this forum to be wary of batteries from China. I was looking for a 3000mAh battery, but Adafruit doesn't sell a battery of that size.
Also, it seems like it will take a long time to get either Helder's AIO or Kite's AIO. Is there a different PCB board someone would be able to recommend that would be a good replacement that I could get pretty easily?
Thanks so much!

As for the battery, there are tons of cheap battery's claiming to have 4000 plus mah's , but most are junk, I have been using Adafruit's 2500 mah battery and gives me 2.5 to 3 Hours playtime.

Re: New Build Questions
Hey there, so I was wondering what this PCB doesn't have, that I will need to get, that the AIO boards DO have. In the other thread you mentioned not needing a Teensy board (which I'm not 100% sure what that is even after looking it up.) But it seems it also doesn't have audio capabilities that the AIO PCBs did have? Is there anything else I need to account for that is missing from the PCB I linked?
Re: New Build Questions
Everything.
That board just gives you button contacts. It's basically a substitute for the copper tape hacked GameBoy PCB Wermy used in his original build. So you'd want to follow these videos: http://www.sudomod.com/game-boy-zero-guide-part-1/ **BUT** you can skip most of part 2, and just use your Kitschbent board instead.
You would need to add some sort of audio circuit (either USB soundcard or PWM filter, plus an amplifier) and headphone jack. Plus some sort of control interface (either an Arduino - ie. Teensy/Leonardo/Pro Micro or connect to the GPIO pins; you need an arduino board to use analog sticks). Plus a USB hub *if* you're using more than one USB connection (since the PiZero only has one USB port). That would give you something equivalent to Helder's AIO.
Re: New Build Questions
Oh gotcha. I was looking to use that PCB because it's available now, but it really seems that the AIO is a better start for me. I'll wait until I can buy Helder's or Kite's. Thanks a lot for all your help!

No... the SAIO has verything inside so you don’t need a powerboost. Buying one will be like burning your bucks with a lighter
