BW screen 8 flicker/tearing [SOLVED]

I am testing things and am noticing a pronounced rolling flicker or screen redrawing or tearing. Hard to describe. It goes in waves that slow, then speed up, then slow down again, etc.
All that is hooked up is the screen to pi0 and both connected to power strip connected to USB power port.
This screenshot seems to show it quite well. It's not just a product of the digital camera.
Is this normal with the BW screens and I just need to deal with it?

Well, it's going to delay my build (like so many other things), but I ordered a screen from Gearbest that hopefully won't suffer from this. If I can figure out the BW screen maybe I'll use it on my next build or otherwise just consider it a learning experience.

Can you post pics of how you soldered it to the pi.

It has been said before, you only need ONE cable for composite, please remove (unsolder) the yellow wire. Only the wire that soldered to the "TV" on the pi is connected to one of the inputs of the driver board.
Also the interference could be due to "noisy" power supply and this leads to noise to the screen.

I was following a wiring diagram. I changed to one (tried each separately) and the interference is still there. Maybe when it's running thru the power boost it will clean up?
Is there any chance that using a thicker guage wire might help, for either the LCD power or signal?
I'm not sure what to do about a noisy power supply. I'm using an OEM Samsung USB adapter and a nice Anker cable. Or did you mean something else?

Shielded cable helps.
I remember there is a post on this forum about shielded cable. Tips - do a search...
Edit - See, I have done the search for you

I always search before posting. Apparently didn't use the right terms. Thank you for the link, gonna try pressing the ribbon to the screen enclosure.

Lots of good stuff in there! I'll try a thicker gauge wire first, then kill a shielded RCA cable. I keep wanting to just finish my build but I know this will bother me if I don't do everything I can to fix it.
