Hello !

I’m having troubles with one of my all time favourite game.
Thunderforce IV aka Lightening Force.
I’m on retropie 4.3, lr-picodrive, and the game freezes but with ongoing music... nothing doable except quit or load state or reset from retroarch.

Can someone try to play and tell me if it’s running the same issue please.

Seems that nobody cares
I feel bad lol... or i play the game with various random freezes... or i have no crash but the game is laggy like a snail (with lr-genesis)

Perhaps there's a more stable copy of the ROM out there somewhere? Sorry. Maybe put a post on the RetroPie forums or reddit.com/r/RetroPie?

Try the USA from, maybe it's also all the tweaks you did that might have caused the issue. Have you played other roms without these issues?

Yes, all the other roms are playing well without any issue. And i have played hundreds of them without any problem.
It’s already the USA version, i’m going to try the european version this weekend.
Really strange...

Maybe the emulator as well, try updating it or using another.

the game works perfect for me (on retropie zero version 4.1) without any overclocking... if you send me your email by pm i will gladly send you the rom that i have (i dont remember were did I downloaded from)

Ok so i've downloaded the Thunderforce IV Europe version and still the same issue.
I have updated lr-picodrive emulator from binary, same issue.
I have updated lr-picodrive emulator from source, same issue.

Now trying to install Dgen but raspibian mirrors are dead and i cannot install missing dependencies
