I have just gotten to the 85% mark of being done and after along time waiting i finally received my 4000mah battery from china.

- I tested the voltage coming from the battery and it reads between 3.7 and 3.8 volts

When i received it I checked if it was giving of a voltage and everything read fine, it is when I connected the battery to the power boost that i found out that have an issue. When plugged into and with or without the battery it powers on fine.

- powers on fine without the battery.

But as soon as I decide to use just the battery the whole assembly falls on its face.

and when i plug the cord back in it recognizes, tries to charge the battery, and turn on.

Im stumped. the only thing that could be causing the problem to me is the fact that my audio filter power is connected but the power to the speaker and audio jack and the PWM wires are not connected but I don't see how this could be the problem.

It looks like your battery JST connector is reversed, facing the Powerboost connection LEFT is positive & right is negative, attached is a wire diagram, hope this helps.

Your welcome, I don't think you did any damage, I had similar problem before, just be careful when you switch your wires so they don't touch, good luck.

Normally, your battery have a protection circuitry that should protect against reversed polarity
