Hello Everyone!
I am new to the modding community and my first project I am undertaking is a gameboy Zero, I have almost all the parts already just waiting on my Teensy and an audio amplifier. While fishing around with some ideas I saw my old Ps2 controller (one without rumble feature) and I was thinking "Hey! if its possible I could trim it down and wire this up to use as a joystick for some games". Only problem is......I don't know the first think about doing wiring out side of following Wermy's well made guide. so If I could get some advice on what I could take off, and what I need to wire to what on a teensy 3.2 that would be great! thanks in advance.Image

You'd be better off with buying a PSP1000 or a similar joystick that has everything broken out for you. You can pick those up on the cheap and will save you the hassle of modifying that and trying to get it to fit inside the case.

Hmmm, that is a good idea! thank you! I do have a spare psp 3001 on hand, do you think that will work as well? if so do you know of any wiring guides for the 1000 or my 3001?

Okay So I just ordered the Psp 1001 replacement joystick and found a guide, sooo I think I may be okay on handling it.
