I bought a handmade Gameboy Zero with a Pi 3 inside, anyway unit makes a hiss or white noise even when the volume is all the way down. Is there anyway to correct this issue? The noise gets pretty loud an annoying.

your gonna have to give more details of what the build consists of....
ideally some pics of the inside would help....
and what the actually audio setup is.....

when i asked for pics of the inside i meant of yours, not the promotional video of the actually seller/inventor of the kits.....
if you really want help resolving this, your really gonna have to provide some tangible stuff we can work with....
these are DIY build, there could be a number of issues with it.....
build quality to a failed part, without actually knowing what you've got ....
no ones really gonna be able to offer anything that could help you (just guesstimations)

Each device is different from another even if you do it exactly the same way with the same parts because this is all DIY so even if it looks identical, a slight difference in a solder can change everything.

how are you out of luck.....
open it up, and see what you've got......
you most probably gonna have to open it up to resolve it anyway...
bear in mind.... on this site most build from the ground up....
there only a couple of kits like these available.... one from 1UP (which you've got) and the other from kite....
this kit uses a amp.... the wiring to the amp could be shoddy or something else
the other option you have is to contact the person you bought it from, if they built it they might have an idea of what they did that might cause the issue...

its not done with PWM (as far as im aware)
its either coming from the headphone socket on the Pi3 or the headphone socket on the HDMI screen
which then goes to an amp
plus it comes as a complete bare bones kit... everything needs to be soldered up...
headphone jack
amp
speakers
and what ever else.....
the issue could be at any point (or somewhere else)
without seeing what you've got..... theirs no way of actually knowing.....
