Okay, so your yellow wire is actually ground, and your white wire is signal. According to your picture you have it wired properly, but according to the wiki that screen needs a 5v mod which I don't see. I am also seeing some very similar images on FB retropie handhelds, is that you as well?
whatever wiring you are using just make sure signal wire goes to the square pin, ground goes to the round, and get 5v from the pi or your power source.

Do not forget: the screen shows only a picture if a signal arrives to it. Meaning: make shure your Pi is running and is NOT connected to HDMI
