BW screen not found on wiki.Help!!!!
Re: BW screen not found on wiki.Help!!!!
There is a small 4 pin header next to that 8 pin IC that I believe is the 5V, Ground and the 2 video signals (at least ground and 5V are there). I tried connecting to there and it didn't change things. I was running from a USB cable cut up and plugged into my laptop, maybe the screen needs more than 500mA or something (but then again I think the are USB 3.0 ports so I should have close to 1A anyway. But maybe my laptop does something weird with them on battery power. I tried running it at 9V at that point too and I have probably killed it now. Not sure why it wouldn't work at the 5V, that is exactly how I have modded every other screen, remove the IC and solder 5V input directly to the pad that the SW output pin was attached to. I guess I should have tried it before removing the IC

Hi everyone,
I'm here just to thank all the people who helped me trying to make this screen work. Unfortunately, it is still not working. I'll get another screen soon, probably the Shenzen one. And if one day someone will ever get this screen working, then I'll start to build my second Game Boy Zero .

Hi
don't you believe that the 6 pins IC in the red circle could be the power IC?

I'll sure give a try as soon as possible (I'm very busy at work at the moment). Hoping I did not fry the control board in the previous experiments...RogJ07 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:12 pmHi

Has anyone looked up the data sheet for that 6 pin IC? The thing is the 8 pin IC in the center of the board checked out has a form of voltage regulator but maybe there are two on the board?RogJ07 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:12 pmHi

Re: BW screen not found on wiki.Help!!!!
I just got the same screen myself yesterday after ruining my first screen a few months ago. My one came with a manual saying it was rated between 6 and 24 volt. I plugged into a power supply I have that outputs 5.5 volt anyway. Successfully power the Pi0w and screen without any modification.
Re: BW screen not found on wiki.Help!!!!
Got the same screen/board from Amazon.de today. My manual says DC6V - 36V here's crossing my fingers this one works on 5 like MathiasRyan's does. What do the three buttons do?

I have the same screen and got it working.
Bridge your 5v cable (red) to PIN2 of the RZC2013S chip:

It is called VIN (note the dot on top of the chip to orient it).
The screen works without modding it, but i noticed some flickering in games, so i modded it anyway.
