Hi,

I’m having a problem with the controls using GPIO on the pi zero. I am using Tinkerboys pi file with everything on it and following the pins he layed out. When I press on the control pad to move a menu it won’t move but if I keep pressing it a ton of times, it will move, but only once. Any suggestions?

Sometimes you need to put a little shim between the button and the silicone pad. I sometimes use a small peice of plastic.

Also make sure the buttons pads on the board are clean. That may help too.

Double check the rc.local file, a couple of times I've had the script add multiple lines at the bottom which has caused similar symptoms to what you are having.

for me the file is located in /etc, so i would type

sudo nano /etc/rc.local to access the file and check it. Depending on your build it may be elsewhere.

Clean the contact pads with eraser.
