Hello Guys.
Ive searched the forum for an answer to my problem but I cant seem to see where im going wrong.
Having followed Wermy's guide for the GBZ, I have managed to get the majority of the main components assembled and installed.
The issue i am facing is getting any audio to work through the speaker.
I am using the same Adafruit amplifier with a replacement DMG speaker and 3.5mm audio jack which was purchased from eBay.
The black and red cables attached to the amp are connected to a USB cable which is being used for power.
I have also checked all connections for continuity and they are fine.
Ive attached images to show how everything is connected.
Any advise or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: GBZ No sound coming from speaker
there is a volume control (located just above the A+) on that amp that can be adjusted with a Philips head (cross) screwdriver, have you adjusted that....
if you have or havent
have you also tried just hooking the speaker up to the amp (leave the headphone socket out) to see if that works....
that way you can determine if a basic setup works (just amp + speaker)
also what headphone socket is that, do you have the correct pinouts for it....

Hello guys.
Thank you for your suggestions and sincere apologies about the delayed reply.
Ive since tried connecting the speaker directly to the amplifier and can confirm they both work perfectly.
The issue must be with the headphone jack and purchasing the wrong item.
I will try sourcing the correct item and report back if im again faced with any obstacles.
Thanks again.
