2 screens. 2 technologies. Same resolutions ?

Post by Marty33 » Sat Mar 24, 2018 10:30 am

Hello all.

I search but i discover 2 screens.

I have this one :

But i found this, more simple, always 320x480 :

it seems to me the Keidei HDMI version is 320x480 too.

but the HDMI version is more complex and in my head, I think it's better quality... No?

Big thanks for your help

The biggest difference between the two is how you get video from the Pi....

Even though both are rated at the same resolution...
One uses HDMI to output the signal (hence the more populated board)...

The other is via GPIO via fbtft (which at the moment can't provide decent framerstes for 320x480)

HDMI will trump the other screens....

Go with the hdmi option. The SPi screen does not have fast refresh rates
