Just completed my first build with Kite's Circuit Sword and everything is working very nicely except for the PSP 1000 joystick.
When I wired it like this the Up/Down Axis was inverted:

When I wired it like this the only direction that works is left, and it makes Mario go forward:

And here is how it's plugged in:

Please tell me how to wire this darn thing.
I kinda think the first way I had it was correct and the config file needs to change but can anyone confirm?
P.S. I am a monkey see monkey do-er and I looked at four different builds and each was wired differently

‍♂️Totally lost.

i'm no expert on this matter.....
but if you looked in this section (obviously before posting)....
then you would have seen someone else had a similar issue (from only a few days ago).....
it might be that you have wired it incorrectly...

New wiring according to this diagram:

- 444-03.jpg (241.93 KiB) Viewed 2896 times

- IMG_2948.JPG (2.24 MiB) Viewed 2896 times
Now left/right are inverted.

Alright, in the last few minutes I downloaded putty, learned to ssh into pi, ran the config file, inverted the joystick, and solved the problem!
Used the instructions here:
