Would I get away with soldering the usb cables 4 wires directly to the pads on this adapter rather than plugging it into a type a? Anyone give this a go before?

Exactly what I wanted to do. Going to order a couple from pimoroni and get a bunch from China for a rainy day. Cheers Vet
