Yea the bord is grounded and still nothing...I might need to figure out the retro game cfg file so that I can make sure it is assigned or something

did they register with that switch.py program? and give a "button pressed" ? if so then its definitely a config issue, if not then its probably a wiring issue.

no they py.program dosnt work on it im using tinkerboys image

Do you have any pics of the wiring. So we can confirm that it is good. If you have it wired properly and retrogame is installed it should just work.

You may have to edit the retrogame configuration file at

/boot/retrogame.cfg
You can edit the file on a Windows machine.

The numbers in the red rectangle are the GPIO pins. You have to match those pin numbers to the ones you soldered on the Pi. You can check the pin numbering at www.pinout.xyz.
