How to fix the screen from getting cut off at the bottom from the screen boarder? Can anyone help? I thought about over scan settings.

yes, exactly - it's the overscan settings in the config.txt. i think around 16 usually works for me on the bottom setting.

example:

Code: Select all

# uncomment the following to adjust overscan. Use positive numbers if console
# goes off screen, and negative if there is too much border
overscan_left=16
overscan_right=16
#overscan_top=16
overscan_bottom=16

Yeah. Just play with the overscan numbers in the config.txt.

Edit. Save. Reboot.

Keep doing that until you get it looking how you like.

what screen are you using, it is very common for composite screen to be blurry. If you are using a composite screen, try grounding the screen beside the TV pad on the pi, I have found that clears things up a little bit.

Also my video splash screen is havering problems. It has like 1 frame per sec and no sound. Do you know how to fix this. It also does not show the ES logo.

Kites Circuit sword screen is a great one. I did not have to adjust any overscan on my kite build. did you use a 3d bracket to position your screen? I don't recall mine being cut off at the bottom.

Either way, i have seen that issue in the past with the slow splash video, I had never thought that it may be due to the overscan. I had never been able to find a way around it. So in cases where I get the really slow splash screen I just disabled it.

And likely the reason it isn't showing the ES logo is because the gameboy zero video is over top of it/
