Circuit Sword fan is missing it's connector...

Post by ipswitch » Sun Apr 21, 2019 9:56 pm

Hello! I'm putting together Kite's Circuit Sword (version 1.3c). I'm ready to install the included fan, but it seems like the two pin molex connector on the fans wires is missing. So now I'm just working with the two loose wires (red and black). I'm assuming I can still use it rather than finding a replacement fan, am I correct in thinking that I can solder these wires right into the + / - spots on the circuit board next to the fan plug? And, assuming that's the case, does anyone know which wire would be positive, and which would be negative? I'm a bit of an amateur, so I apologize if that's an obvious question. I suppose if I need to determine that myself I could pick up a multimeter and learn how to test that. I'll attach an image of the fan and it's wires in case my description isn't clear:

Black is negative, red is positive. Should be fine to solder to those pads above the fan connector. I assume that is what they are meant for.
