Speaker rating (Circuit sword question)

I got a speaker here that is 4ohm and 3w instead of the prescribed 8ohm and 2w. Is it usable for this build with modifications, usable without modifications or not usable at all?

Thanks for any advice.

technically, it depends on the amp you are using, but generally yes. the amps most people use support up to 3w, and up to 8ohm. 4ohm/3w is fine.

Sorry I didn't specify. I'm using a circuit sword from Kite for my build.

well, his faq says its rated for 2.4w, so you'd probably be fine still i think, just maybe on the quiet side. i'd guess the 4ohm would be ok too, but i haven't used his kit. if you use "circuit sword" in the header, you'd be more likely to get his attention. this isn't a forum just for that kit

Thanks man. I'll give it a try then and see how it sounds. Unless I get different advice before I get around to assembly.
