screen power options

should i power the screen off of the pi zero or not...
i was wondering if it is to much for it

I'd just power it from whatever power supply you are using rather than from the Pi's gpio.

I am doing that but i moved the ground back to the av out will that work long term

Unlike it's bigger brother the Pi3/Pi4, the pi zero has no fuse from the 5v microusb input so it doesn't matter where you power any 5v device. You can power it from the gpio or directly from your power boost.

If you are referring to the names that appear over the cars, then you can just disable them if you want.
Also are you really asking for a refund just for this?
