Hello friends.
I have just gone to do my first boot after completing my first GBZ. It turns on to a white screen only.
During my test out of the shell it logged to retropie but now i do not know what went wrong.
Any ideas?

Re: White Screen on first boot
I just noticed when viewing this from the side that the retropie image comes up and i can see it boot although it is almost not visable when looking front on. Almost like its a contract issue. Does this change the scenario?

Re: White Screen on first boot
Ok so update number 2. I pulled it all out of the shell. Disconnected everything from the pcb (except the usb data) and pi. Re soldered a few of the 5v and gnd from the pcb, and the d+ and d- . I re attached the ribbon cable and it all worked! I ensured my connections were soldered cleanly. Re checked after each new wire and all was good. I put it back into the shell, just about to hot glue the pi and screen bracked, did one last test and back to bright white screen. Again the image is there and it boots to retropie but you can see shit. Outside of the ribbon cable or screen what else could do this? Does data from the pi play a role? I assume not as it boots. Im annoyed!

Re: White Screen on first boot
It could be something is pressing up against the ribbon cable....
There is a possibility of a connection shorting or touching one another
(But from the images everything looks ok)
I’d check the ribbon cable that most probably the culprit
