I put together a Gameboy zero using Kite's circuit sword and did everything based on the videos I watched. It comes on and the screen lights up but that's all it does. If anyone has any ideas what the problem may be I would really appreciate any information.

Reflash the sd card with the proper image.

Double check your ribbon connection as well. Also if you didn't, I'd go thru the setup on Kite's wiki.
