Hi all,

I had an anker 4 usb hub laying around and wanted to use it for my GBZ.

However, instead of having 4 places (marked clearly on Wermy's pcb in his original video by letter) for the black, red, green, and white cables, my hub has what you can see below:
Can anyone help me with which pin does what and what connections I would make? I must be searching for the wrong terms as I can't find a diagram online.

usb 3.0 has more pins to transfer more data, faster, than the 2.0 hub wermy used.

if you want to hook it up to a pi 0, just find the d +/- and 5v/gnd and leave the other pins disconnected.

Thank you, that makes perfect sense.

Is there a way for me to determine which of those pins is data? I assume that the pins won't necessarily correspond directly to the port pinout, correct?

i'd guess that the pins and port pinout should line up pretty well actually. the four legacy pins are near the front. the color of the wires is actually still the same usually too, so it'll probably be the green and white wires still, but you can also plug in a usb 2.0 cable and use a multimeter if you just can't follow the ones in the port to the pcb.
