No display on car monitor?

Hi guys,
I have a question related to this and maybe you can help me with it.
I got a similar screen from amazon and I want to try it out. The controller board looks like this:

500mAh might be a bit weak, plus you have to have a video signal in order to get a heartbeat from the display.

I'll see whether I can find a stronger power supply and try again.
The info sheet that came with the screen said that it runs on 9-32V DC so I used my 9V power supply for the first try.

I'm guessing the 4 pin SOT-223 package near the yellow capacitor on the right side of the board.

I think I should remove the 8 pin chip instead of the 4 pin chip Need to buy a new screen

Aw shucks...
The 4 pin chip was the most likely to be the regulator as it is actually a regulator according to the datasheet and it's very conveniently placed near the power input...
