I'll see whether I can find a stronger power supply and try again.
The info sheet that came with the screen said that it runs on 9-32V DC so I used my 9V power supply for the first try.

It looks like you should desolder it and short pins 2 and 3, but I may be wrong. :)

I think I should remove the 8 pin chip instead of the 4 pin chip :( Need to buy a new screen

Aw shucks... :cry:
The 4 pin chip was the most likely to be the regulator as it is actually a regulator according to the datasheet and it's very conveniently placed near the power input... :oops:
