Hello Forums! I was wondering if this was the part I am looking for. I’m researching about the Arduino Uno and I wanted to see if adding charging circuitry was possible. But most charging boards have a 5 volt output and the recommended operating voltage for an Arduino Uno is 7-12 volts. I was wondering if this Step Up Converter could turn the 5 volt output into a 12 volt output: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/det ... 2CV/585973

Please tell me otherwise if I’m wrong. Thanks!

The Arduino Uno runs totally fine with 5 V supplied through USB.
If you have a regulated and stable 5 V supply, you can even connect it directly to the 5 V power pin.
For the barrel jack you need 7-12 V. It's purpose is for a setup where you don't have a 5 V power supply.
