Hello everybody,
I am looking for some cheaper alternative to the PowerBoost by Adafruit. Do you think this board would work the same? -

My only requirement is that I should be able to use the battery why it's being charged.
Thank you for all your advices!

if your gonna use it for a gameboy build, then consider the powerboost that have been tried and tested like this one

you may get it slightly cheaper elsewhere

I'm with Veteran. The Banggood PS has been used by a number of forum users successfully. That being said, it's so cheap and small, you could try one out and post your findings so we can all learn!
I actually bought a similar USB on top, micro USB on bottom board for the purpose of testing. Will let you know when it arrives.

I have a couple of those for tiny builds and while i can't comment on them long term, they will supply while being charged.
