Hi all,

I just soldered my Pi0 to my PCB screen but when I boot, nothing happens. I precise it works perfectly on my TV (HDMI).

Screen :
- Shop : Amazon.de
- Seller : EPATHDIRECT
- Brand : ePathChina

I modified the PCB like said here : http://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=342&e=1&

I soldered it to the Pi0 :

Swap the positions of the white and yellow wires. I believe the right orientation is yellow on the square contact, this is how I have it set up and I have seen others do the same. I also remember someone else fixing a black screen issue by doing this.

You have your video cables reversed. Video goes to the square pin. Ground to the circle pin.

Will move this thread to the help forum.

@SP33 I switched the yellow and the white but I have still a black screen...

Ground to the circle ? The ground is the black, so it goes to PP6, no ?...

@Popcorn The ground goes to PP6, no ? My cables are reversed on the PCB screen ?

So if I understand :
white > circle
yellow > square
red > PP6
black > PP1

Tell me if it's correct :)
I believe @Popcorn meant the video ground, which is your white cable. It is the same suggestion as me.

The only other thing I can think of is you took out your sd card and forgot to put it back in? Not quite sure what else could be causing it.

Here is what it should look like after you swap them, I took this from another post here. This is also the post where I found they had the same black screen issue.

This is the opposite of Wermy. When I did as Wermy the screen turned on (the backlight) but nothing appeared on the screen.

Connect it to any VCR, old Satellite DVB-S or some DVB-T thingy. If you only have SCART, get the breakout of SCART to Composite.

Anyway. My Pi 3 by default came with
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
in the settings - > /boot/config.txt
so I've disabled that and only then the picture came up.

Hi,

I tested to disable the hotplug on Recalbox but still black screen.
I have a Playstation 2 with a composite cable, I will try to solder it on the PCB of my screen, if it works I think the problem come from my modification, right ?

I wait a little for any other answers before soldering that.

No need for that, just solder on the composite cable that came with the screen.
Then plug this into your playstation, but still you need a power source.

Yes, I can buy it in a shop ? 5V will be good, isn't it ?
