Battery protection

So hello again! 
I just wondered if the Powerboost by Adafruit or the banggood psu has a built in battery protection because I've found some really cheap 4ah li-ion cells on Amazon that look like AA batteries. And if one of those boards doesn't have a protection, could you please suggest me a protection board?
