USB OTG problem, will this burn down my GBCZ ?

Post by desoudius3 » Fri Mar 08, 2019 3:07 am

Hi, for my GBC zero i wantet to use the micro B port, which is allready used for power input to the charger, as an usb port too.

A simple schematic how it is wired up:

Is it possible to get power to the micro b port without frying the lipo charger ?
The only way i can imaging to solve this:

I am sure i shouldnt bridge the IN and OUT from the charger

If i had a spare charger i would try it, but i am sure thats not the way to do.

Pls leave me a feedback if you know what to do, or if i am on the right way (which i realy doubt).

the answer is no, it will not work, USB is only used for power supply.
It is designed as a LCD for displaying stored text in the microcontroller.

Dont know about something cheap that will work.
