Audio issues

Post by msykos » Sat Sep 24, 2016 1:24 pm

I having no luck getting audio out. I have 2 builds, one is done, the second I am using for troubleshooting. They are both wired the same way. I get static in the both ears, but no sound. The Orange wire on the wheel is ground, check with a meter. The volume wheel does work, 80 ohms to about 10k. I added the line of code. Both stereo and mono, no difference with either one. When the HDMI is connected I get sound from the tv.

Look like everything is good

try to make space in your config file between the pwm Command and other one .

So I deleted the line of code at the end and added it to its own line. Now I have audio. Thanks for the suggestion. No wiring change.

Msykos, reading the config.txt file using windows notepad isn't really easy.
You should install another software to do it. For example, "Notepad ++" is freeware and very useful !

Wordpad works well too. Depending on your version of Windows it might be installed already. It keeps the correct formatting unlike Notepad.

I agree it works well too. The pros for Notepad++, it's a code editor so you can have many specific features as syntaxic colouring, ... ;)

Well I'm not a pro ;) ... basic stuff works just fine for me. But yeah I'm sure it's probably better than Wordpad, but then what isn't better than most Microsoft products.
