And the winner of the darwin award goes to...

I'm building myself a TinyPi. (unless someone else has already coined that phrase in which case, I'll think of something else!) So I go on eBay and unbelievably find the absolute Perfect lipo battery for it. Seller is in the UK and has quite a few, but bizarrely doesn't combine postage. So I just order the one.
Postie arrives today and "rams" a plain, normal envelope through my letterbox. Inside the envelope with absolutely no padding whatsoever, is a rather bent looking lipo battery.
WHO ON EARTH SHIPS A LIPO BATTERY WITH NO PROTECTION?!?

Please don't tell me you actually kept the thing?
Just do that thing some other member did, and shoot it from a far distance, and watch it explode.
These things tend to get a lot of views on youtube....

I'm in the UK. I tried some harsh words but it didn't work!

Some cells are designed to be bent just the once. Probably not the kind that you can find for a good price on eBay!

Which TinyPi were you building? Was it mine?

Actually, I'm building something new. Not a million miles away from yours, but not based on anything else. First some reason I thought yours was called PocketPi! I'll think of something new.... PiddlyPi?

Right PiddlyPi is mine then! (And I'll bookmark MicroPi and MinutePi as well for improvements!

)
The idea behind it is to demonstrate just how easy and rewarding a self made build can be. I love your PCB's moosepr, but that's beyond the talents of your average amateur builder. And the AIO boards and the mintypi are superb, but there's nothing like buying a few bits and cobbling something together of your own design.
It's a lofty goal and I'm probably going to embarrass myself, but I'd like to encourage more people to have a crack themselves, rather than just badgering Helder and Kite to get their boards back in!

I completely agree, Holydohnut. I'm actually planning on making a button board using perf board and solder, like moosepr in his tutorial for GBZ back buttons. There's no reason why a few pieces of perf board wouldn't work for a mintyPi build.
Off subject, my uncle is a master wood craftsman and is working on a small wooden box with custom wooden face plates for a mintyPi like design. I'm claiming woodyPi as the name of that project

*runs off to find dictionary to claim all the words you can suffix with Pi!
You will see perfboard in the PiddlyPi! (Damn that's a stupid name!) Everyone can use perfboard. Heck, you can cut it with scissors!
