The Hoolyhoo screen/button bracket makes the new top buttons sit higher than than the stock bottom buttons. When you screw down the Kite AIO it causes the buttons to not have as much travel. I had to trim out some material inside the button wells so they could sit down further. I am sure that is mentioned somewhere in the forums but I had to learn the hard way :p
Thanks! HoolyHoo mentioned it on the bracket sale thread and mentioned that it was resolved by stuffing silicon in the button hole. I tried silicon and chopping up glue sticks but couldn't get it right.

I'll try modifying the actual bracket, thanks!

Here is the quote from Hoolyhoo

Button action feels natural. I did notice that there is some play between the button press and the contact to Kites board even on the A and B buttons. What I did was cut a small thin 1mm silicone circle from an old contact pad and placed that in the button holes. Lifted it just enough so there is no play. You can see in the picture all four buttons are at same height.

Mine might have been different because I used buttons from a SNES controller from Amazon and not original Gameboy buttons.......
