@johweb Can you try disconnecting the LBO and Low-batt wires and try again?

I removed both LBO and low_batt : after complete loading of EmulationStation, I see the video "Warning battery very low" with the countdown, then the pi powers off (with the screen staying powered as before).
I also tried moving the switch from on to off during the video, nothing happens.
I tried with battery + power cord, and power cord only, with the same result. Hope this helps...

Connect a wire from 3.3v to GPIO17 (pin11) to fool the Pi into thinking the battery level is fine.

I just want to see if everything is working without the low battery stuff.

When EmulationStation is launched, nothing happens. I push the switch off : power off without kernel panic, screen staying powered. I push the switch on, nothing more.

ps : I still have LBO and low_batt removed, keep-on on pin 8, and config.txt line commented. That's right ?

It's not switching off properly so powering on again won't do anything. If you pull the Keep-on wire, the powerboost should shut off, right?

I un-soldered keep-on from pin 8 : after shuting down, both screen and powerboost stay powered.

With your green(?) keep-on wire disconnected, the Powerboost should shut down immediately when the switch is closed. I'd reconnect that as it was just to test if the Powerboost would shut off.

Out of curiosity, does the Powerboost switch off if you short those two grey reset wires together?
