I bought the red one, V 1.2. It needs the chip, as well as what looks like several capacitors.

Use ebay for the 10uf ceramic caps size 0805 and look for the Pam8403 as well. The other caps and resistors you can get from Taydaelectronics.com.

How exactly do you wire this up? Do you not need an additional audio amplifier board? Also what do you mean by dont wire 5v? Also is that second wiring part for if you are using the original volume wheel and headphone socket?

There are at least 4 different configurations of this board throughout this thread and you seem to be referring to at least two of them. If after reading this thread you make your questions a bit more specific I think people can be more helpful.

There are 2 diagrams on the first post it's simple to follow. If you have the red one then you can buy the parts to add the amplifier yourself or use an external one. The red one is blank and can be populated or used mainly for the buttons like many of the other people selling button PCBs.

If you have the Blue PCB then everything is all on it like the audio amplifier and PWM Filter and yes you can use this with the volume wheel or not and same goes to the Red Board.

I don't see how you can ask this since a clear and simple picture explains it but if you don't understand a part of the install just ask.

The 5v is to be connected to the board IF you have the onboard amp if not then don't connect it, you know what 5v is right?
