If this will work as a flash cart for DMG (as I understand what this does) I would like to buy one.

Nope. this will not work in a regular DMG. it's literally just placing the SD card pins into the cartridge edge connector, for the Pi to pick up on the other side. the DMG is expecting 16 bits of address bus and 8 bits of data bus and a bunch of ancillary control lines. I can't "speak" SD card
