@camble

So I believe my safe shutdown is now working (mostly). I finally got the low battery warning message, however when I switch off the power, it still just shuts down immediately. So anyway, the problem was that the GitHub files that I downloaded using the setup guide were not actually downloading...the files names were there, but they had no content when I opened them. I simply copied the file text and pasted them into the files on the pi (using CyberDuck). I wonder if anyone else is having this problem?

I received the first of my prototypes yesterday. Still waiting on the next (I made some minor changes after ordering the first). I expect they will arrive in about a week. Once tested, a full batch won't take very long at all as they will arrive by courier. I'm hoping to have them ready for the start of the new year.

I now have my new screen installed so did more testing, the shutdown still works on the main menu (emulationstation) and in some cores but I have to noticed that if it is plugged in (charging) it will start to shutdown but then the power cuts out before shutdown has finished.

Not a major issue for me as I rarely ever charge and play at the same time. Will be looking out for the new thread for the new version :D
