I imagine that membrane based buttons are much better option than a tactile switch. Any other options to consider for back buttons?
There is also this option (which I ordered):

I have order one. And recieved it Yesterday. And i must say it looks amazing. And all the 3d printed parts are included. Only one thing need to do is solder it your self. And you can change the buttons.
Whooo Stop befor ask in a post. First use the search or the wiki befor you make a topic.. Just saying.........

if you are up to something more out of the box, here is a very interesting way of thinking L&R buttons differently.
DieselDummy managed to find a way to integrate all 4 shoulder buttons while sacrificing minimal to zero space. check this:

Kapton tape is like electrical tape but thinner and better insulating, kapton tape is used to protect from shorts.
The foam tape is used to stick things like the fan it's a double sided thick foam tape.

It is also transparent, can stand a lot of heat and cold and provides certain protection from acid. It is the MacGyver of tapes.

Neolith I had no idea what kapton tape was until reading these build guides :? .( I have seen it on stuff like inside my Xbox one controller when I changed the buttons but pulled it off and replaced it with electrical tape.) I now have bought kapton tape.

I was just wondering about the heatsink, is there a glue layer on it already or any advice on what to use, same for the fan.

any recommendations how to secure this correctly?
