since there is so much space on that board have you not thought about adding the pinout on there for a large sd slot? i wouldnt mind seeing that since i own alot more of those than micro sd cards :)

It's possible, but adding another socket would drive the price up as the sockets are the most expensive part on the board.

Pi's can run on regular SD cards? o.o (i mean i don't see why not right? but better to make that as a separate board if there's demand imo, no need to have SD and micro SD on the same board)

I can confirm that these things work fantastically. Without changing anything and without even using shielding around my wires, it made it so literally every SD card I threw at it (I tried half a dozen or so) booted up perfectly without any fiddling on my part. So yeah, it's a few extra bucks, but it's worth it! :)
