Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
Hello! Could you please take a look at this, and we'll try and work out what's gone wrong and get it fixed!
(Hint, right click -> open image in new tab to make it much bigger)
With everything unplugged (other than the CM3 in the CS board) using a multimeter in continuity mode (so that it beeps when the probes touch), the pins with the same letters/colours should be connected (and therefore beep). So A->A, B->B etc..
F* is the only one that doesn't have a resistor to test, to test this one you need to remove the CM3 and in the top corner pins, it's the 5th one from the top (running the probe past these pins should make it beep). The screenshot is the top corner of the CM3 slot.
You may find that you need to wiggle your probe on the resistors slightly because they're kind of covered in a film/oxidisation so a little scratching with the probe will loosen it to test.
Please let me know how you get on!

Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
Thanks for the test point pinout. Just checked them and they are all fine. Continuity checks out across all pins.

Wow, ok.. to me it sounds like the Compute Module is at fault! I'll reply to your email and confirm your address and I'll send you a new one out! Really hoping that is what it is because if all the pins check out, well, there isn't much else that it could be!

Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
I agree with you. Nothing else it could really be. I went out and bought a pny elite sd card just to make sure that wasn't the issue. I replied to your email as well thank you. Should be smooth sailing after the new cm3 gets here

Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
Good news I received the new cm3 today. Bad news is that I still can't get the board to boot. I'm at my wits end. The build really is simple enough for almost anyone to do as it's all plug and play. I'm packing everything up and sending it all back. Unfortunately I'm just not sure what else to do. I really want a circuit sword badly but perhaps it's just not meant to be So far I've gone through two boards, two cm3's and 4 sd cards. These boards have to work, there's no explanation as to why they won't boot. But to dismiss user error which it still very well might be I'm sending everything back to you. Here's pic's of my simple build. The pics are in order of build process. I connect the screen ribbon, place the board in the shell, connect the hdmi/usb and power switch, place the cm3 in the board, connect the battery and insert the sd card. I flip the switch and I get absolutely nothing.

Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
I even plugged a power cable in to see if that made a difference and still nothing.

Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
Heres three of the four cards I've tried already. Both with etcher and windisk32.

Re: Circuit sword wont boot.
Could it be the 2000ma battery? Is that not enough to boot the board? I keep thinking maybe there's a short but nothing is touching the board in the case. I unplugged all ribbon cables and tried but still didn't get boot. Not sure what else to try.

Hello. Has the circuit sword arrived yet? Have you had a chance to look at it by chance? Thank you for all your help with it
