SAIO LCD only displaying half of rows, leading to washed out display

Post by keffcat » Tue Jan 16, 2018 10:30 pm

I was derailing https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=53083, so I'll make a new thread. Just to summarize, I was having issues where my screen looked washed out; further investigation with my phone camera showed that only half the rows were showing colors. I don't have an oscilloscope so I can't investigate the signal further, so I thought I'd post here to see what I can do in the interim.

Are you using a Pi3? Have you check that the pin is soldered ok the Pi3 end?

Do you happen to have a spare LCD to try? It's a fairly common LCD for those reversing screens..

If none of that applies, next best thing is probably to send it in to me and I can look and repair. PM me if you want to take that route!
