I’ve an old analogue multimeter that when testing something seems to show a Little higher than what it should be. So that 4v could be the 3.3v we are looking for. I need to get a digital multimeter to test I properly. Will get one tomorrow and test it again. I’m testing from the right side of R13 to the negative of the battery is that right.
Ps what is the part number of the chip and I’ll look into getting one and seeing if there’s someone near me to do it.
Thanks for this I know your busy and really appreciate you help.

Re: Kites circuit Sword fan staying on
Ok cool that's alright then it sounds like the CM3 is doing the right thing but I'm 99% sure it's that black chip. The one I used was kind of overkill for the application but it's the IRLML6402 . But you could use any P MOSFET pretty much in place. You should be able to get it from any component suppliers near you or on eBay you can get them in low quantity

Hi will any of these do the job.
http://uk.farnell.com/search?st=IRLML6402
Looking at the picture and you saying it could be that chip. That chip is right under the corner of the cm3 board I could have crushed it maybe with my first trial fit.

Yep those will work but they are all out of stock, try this instead: http://uk.farnell.com/infineon/bss215ph ... MOSFET%20P (it is BSS215PH6327XTSA1)

Re: [ISSUE] CSO - fan staying on - under investigation
Hi just so I’m keeping you in the loop. I’ve just received the parts today. So now need to find someone to solder for me(to tiny for my skills🤯). Will inform when done and if it sorted the fan out.
Re: [ISSUE] CSO - fan staying on - under investigation
Ok. So thanks to my local TV repair Man “Friendly TV” the chip has been replaced and the fan now comes on with startup then goes off. So looks as though everything is working.
Thanks for all your help Kite good luck with everything
Next VMU build I’m watch you for that next
