Hi,

When the battery is fully charged should the charging light go off, or am I expected to manually disconnect it when I feel it's full?

To answer my own question, I left it for ages and eventually the charging LED turned off.

I assume the board senses the battery is full and stops charging.

Correct, the LED is labelled as "CHARGING" so it will be ON when it is charging, and OFF when charged. If the CS is turned on, the battery icon changes from a lightning bolt (charging) to a plug (charged)

You can check the voltage of the battery, if the voltage reads 4.2v then your battery is full.

Li-po charging is actually quite interesting. You basically pipe in a constant current, and monitor the voltage. Once is where you want it, you pipe in a constant voltage and monitor the current draw. Once the current draw goes to zero, the battery is full

SAIO does not have the hardware to show it, and i still haven't implemented that yet
